SUN Newspapers. Local news feed correspondent for NBC, CBS, ABC. 

Writer, producer, narrator, PURSUIT series of television documentaries, receiving consistent complimentary reviews in the national magazine, VARIETY. Winner of the National Headliners Award (broadcasting equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize) for best public affairs documentary in U.S., 1963. 

Award of Merit from Minnesota College Radio Network, '¹for Outstanding leadership in radio news reporting through the "Behind the Parade" (McGivern-McGovern)radio series on KSTP and setting a superb example for all College radio personnel." 1960. 

Political adviser, speechwriter, national presidential campaign advance man. 

Author of three dramatic plays, two novels and many historical articles for various magazines, local and national.

Recipient of Distinguished Flying Cross and one Oak Leaf  Cluster, Air Medal and two Oak Leaf Clusters for flying 275 combat missions and 600 combat hours in Burma and China,WWII.
